It is important for us to be transparent about where your money go. This page explains the flow of money in our service, and clarifies how much goes to who.
Step 1: We buy carbon credits
We find and resell carbon credits from various projects. The price differs from project to project, but usually around 20 EUR / ton.
Step 2: We sell carbon credits
We resell the CO2 at the same price we buy it for. So to continue our example, we add the carbon credits to our service at the price of 20 EUR / ton.
Step 3: We charge you the payment fee
We use Stripe.com for credit card processing. The size of their fee differs on the transaction size, and card type. We simplified this to consider transaction size:
If transaction is less than 6,5 EUR: 5% + 0,05 EUR
If transaction is more than 6,5 EUR: 3% + 0,25 EUR
Step 4: Optional commission
Per default we offer our service commission-free, so its up to you if you would like to support our service by adding a commission to your purchase.
Step 5: If you are from EU we charge you Danish VAT
We are required to charge Danish VAT if you are from within EU. If you aren’t, you will see no VAT charge.
